ANNUAL MEETING
LAST WEEK IN MAY

To the Members and Friends of NHLC:
After prayerful consideration the Council of Elders determined it was time for a
change in the Council and leadership of North Heights Lutheran Church.
Accordingly, at 7:00 PM Wednesday March 23, 2016, there was on orderly
resignation of all sitting Council members and appointment of a new Council of
Elders.

We have deep respect and appreciation for their courageous decision.

The transition is as follows:

Ralph Tellefsen replaced Suzanne Hinderscheid?s former position (filling an
empty seat)

John Oldfield replaced Bonnie Carlson and was elected new Council President

Ken Kerns replaced Lemar Jensen and was elected new Council Secretary

Don Furhman replaced Sherry Cady

Bob Kordosky replaced Tom Rubbelke and was elected new Council Treasurer

Linda Morken replaced Mark Gregory and was elected new Council Vice President

Each of the above appointees will fulfill the term of the Council member whom
they replaced. Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting of the
Congregation in May for those whose terms expire this year.

During and immediately following the transition, Pastor Mike Smith from
Redeeming Love Church, who had acted as facilitator in the meetings leading to
this transition, provided pastoral coverage. He anointed, prayed over, and
released the resigning members. He anointed and prayed for the newly appointed
Council.

With great anticipation and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, we look forward to
rebuilding this body of believers and restoring worship services at North
Heights Lutheran Church as soon as possible.

We are committed to keeping the members informed as we chart a path forward to
rebuild NHLC, facing the challenges together as one church, bound together in
the love of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:24b-27 New International Version (NIV)
But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked
it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts
should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part
suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now
you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

NHLC Easter Sunday services will be held at the Event Center in Mounds View - A
complete announcement to follow. All members, friends, and visitors are
cordially invited to attend.

Joshua 1:9 New International Version (NIV)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
